The West Coast of Scotland is home to such famous courses as Turnberry (the Ailsa Course host of the 2009 Open Championships & the Kintyre Course), Royal Troon, (host the Open for the eighth time in 2004), Prestwick, (venue of the very first Open Championship played in 1860) and Western Gailes (a regular final qualifying courses for the Open) .
All the courses are within 45 minutes drive from the 5* Turnberry Hotel or the 4* Troon Marine Hotel.
