Kingsbarns 7126 yards par 72
Kingsbarns Golf Course is the most recent addition to Fife's golf coast, and has quickly developed a reputation as one of the finest links courses in Scotland.
Kingsbarns was chosen as a venue for the Dunhill Links Championship, joining with its more established neighbors, legendary Carnoustie and the Old Course at St. Andrews.
Kyle Philips designed Kingsbarns and has used the spectacular coastal landscape along with traditional links design to produce a must-play course that sweeps around bays and meanders through dunes.
The greens at Kingsbarns are a unique aspect of the golf course. Their contours reflect the topography of surrounding landforms and can be intuited from considerable distance.
This is important because green contours at Kingsbarns have meaning to the links-style forward release of the ball and therefore to angles of approach which result from lines of play chosen at the tee.
Aggressive driving lines are rewarded with angles into contours that are favourable, and gather balls to green centres.
Conversely, safe driving lines often result in approach angles that are much more difficult and require precise distance control if the green contours are not to be troublesome.
At Kingsbarns, some contours are to be used while others are to be avoided, but they are always to be considered.
A heart-felt welcome awaits all golfers to Kingsbarns Golf Links.
