The West Coast of Scotland is home to such famous courses as Turnberry (the Ailsa Course host of The 2009 Open Championship & Kintyre Course), Royal Troon, (host to The Open Championship on eight occasions, most recently in 2004), Prestwick, (venue of the first Open Championship in 1860) and Western Gailes (regularly used as a final qualifying course for The Open) .
All the courses are within 45 minutes drive from the 5* Turnberry Hotel or the 4* Troon Marine Hotel.
