NORTH BERWICK West Course 6420 yards par71
Regularly used as a qualifying course for the Open at Muirfield and established in 1832, North Berwick is the 13th oldest club in the world. A course steeped in history it offers a unique golfing challenge where you will encounter greens near stony beaches, blind shots and great ridges across fairways. It serves as an ultimate test of skill and the wonderful views coupled with the slight eccentricity of the course always tempts every golfer back. The holes even have memorable names such as ‘Mizzentop’, ‘Bos’n’s Locker’ and ‘Perfection’! |

GULLANE NO 1 6466 yards par 71
This course is an Open qualifier and is also an excellent test of golf. The third hole was recently voted one of the top 500 holes in the world by Golf Magazine (USA). Due to the Gullane Hill, the golf is much hillier than at most Scottish links courses. All three courses at Gullane share the same wonderful turf, superb greens all year round and spectacular views from the summit. These include the Bass Rock, the Isle of May, the Paps of Fife, the Ochil Hills, the Pentland Hills and the Lammermuirs. It is a panorama of intoxicating splendor. |

DUNBAR 6404 yards par 71
An Open qualifying venue for 2002 and one of the best courses on the East Lothian coast. It is clear that the seaside holes 4th to 17th give the course its flavor; the narrow strip of links land bounded by a wall on one side and the seashore on the other. Accuracy is the key here with "out of bounds" being a possibility on ten of the holes. A gentle start, two par 5s and a par 3 soon gets tough; the dogleg 7th with the green beside the wall, the 500 yard plus 9th followed by a long par 3 often played straight into the wind. Allegedly, Cromwell's troops were encamped here before the Battle of Dunbar in 1603. |
